I don’t believe in coincidences
We’ve planned about 80% of this trip to the USA and have left 20% for random coincidences. So far the 20% has led us to places and to have meetings with people that are so far off our radar, I cannot put it down to simple coincidences.
By placing yourself in situations and environments unfamiliar to you, you increase your surface are of luck. Case in point. The purpose of this trip is to learn more about the startup scene in the USA as well about forestry, innovation entrepreneurship. Guess who I sit next to on the flight over from Amsterdam to Boston? A person from Denmark that was involved with forest management for many years. He also oversaw a tech incubator. The insights and advice I got on those hours together were invaluable. We never had time to even watch a movie or listen to a song. When sharing his vast experience in life and business. It was like speaking to a wise oracle, that guided my thinking and shaped my view of things to come.
I’ll be sharing more ‘coincidences’ as the trip progresses.
